Yesterday, I went to 32th Bon Odori at Stadium Panasonic Sports Complex(Shah Alam). My friends and I arrived at there by around 5.30pm. By that time, most of the people already at there to join the Bon Odori festival.
Bon Odori is a cultural event to honor the spirits of the departed with dance and drums together with musics.
The atmosphere started to get crowded when it is near to the opening which is the Drum Performance. Most of the people gather around the center of the stage to dance together when the Cultural Dance started after the drum performance. The dance consist of 3 sessions while each would last at least 20 - 30 minutes per sessions.
Beside dance and performance. There is a section where the variety food stalls are set-up. Here you can find many kinds Japanese foods ranged from Sushi to Udon being sell at there. Well, I liked the Japanese Fried Noddle with the omelet and special sauce. Simply delicious.
At there, many of Japanese people with their traditional suits which is Kimono and having their time at Bon Odori. They shared their joy and laughter while enjoying the performance, so as we did.
