Who wouldn't visit Kedah tower when drop by at Alor Setar city?

The following day I went to Kota Kuala Kedah. It is a historical place where it were once a fort to protect Kuala Kedah kingdom from naval attacks. Until today, we still able to see such historical architecture thanks to local authorities for preserving the fort.

Abandoned light house

Not far away from Kota Kuala Kedah there is a beautiful castle look a like. It is Marina Kuala Kedah. It doesn't open for public so I had to stop at the front to snap the building.
Another place for relaxation is Jitra Park. This is the second time I went there. It's a park where people usually jogging, canoing, fishing, and also dating. It is best place for relaxation after hard day of work or even to release stress. The journey to Jitra Park from Alor Setar City took almost 40 minutes ride. Recommended to visit this park.
Another interesting place than Kedah is Gua Kelam at Perlis. It situated nearby Thailand and Perlis border. The cave stretch 370 meter long, with only suspension bridge visitor could walk thru the cave and enjoy the stream flows under the bridge. It is quite scary where some part of the cave doesn't have light to guide your way. Overall, it is an enjoyable journey to the other side of the cave where we would came to a small park.
Although the journey will ends, but I wish the time/moment could stop. Wish there were more time for it. Anyway it is an enjoyable experience that I could not forget.

I went Kedah for 6 days and the journey really worth a lot to me. Even the time is so short but every moment I spent at there is treasure for me.

The first place I visit once I arrived at Alor Setar is Sungai Kedah. The place quite silent and it is suitable for couples for dating but had to take precaution as there are many "mat rempits" wandering around with their modified motorcycles.

The next stop is opposite the Sungai Kedah. Nothing much there but had some random shots around the area.

The third stop is the famous sidewalk-food stall, Hai Tau Kee. Every time I back to Alor Setar, the first food I taste is from Hai Tau Kee. This place once were famous for it's various food stall but the local government had to move them away somewhere and build a new sidewalk to attract tourist.

Right now I am at Alor Setar, it has been a wonderful experience these few days with someone special (HAHAHA). Today is day 3 after I arrived here. Great days are coming ahead and can't wait for those day to come.

Updates on pictures will uploaded once I get back to KL by this Saturday.

Stay tune,

Last Friday night (29th August 2008) was the 2nd Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC) Grand Finale held at Putrajaya. It was the awesome night of the fireworks compared to other nights. Why? Team Malaysia was crowned 1st Runner Up. While the winner was Team Spain.
I never expected Team Malaysia could do so well compared to last year.

Congrats to both teams for their prestige performance. Luckily, I had set on the good spot for photography. I had to camp there for at least 5 hours for the spot. Now let the picture do the talking shall we? (Any comments and critiques are most welcome )Personally I love the last picture, how about you?
